Who we are: The Catholic Community Foundation Archdiocese of New Orleans (hereinafter “CCF”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.
What we collect: Your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and donation information when you provide them. We also collect limited technical data (such as cookies and analytics) when you visit our website.
Why we collect it: To communicate with you about events, programs, and giving opportunities; to process donations; to improve our website and services; and to send you newsletters, emails, and text messages you have opted in to receive.
Who we share it with: Only service providers who help CCF operate (such as Mailchimp for email and SMS, and our payment processor for donations). We never sell your personal information.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, as well as certain information that is collected automatically when you visit our website.3a. Information You Provide Directly
Contact information. When you sign up to receive our newsletter, emails, or text messages, register for an event, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and any other details you choose to provide.
SMS/text message information. If you opt in to receive text messages from us, we collect your mobile phone number, records of how and when you gave consent (for example, by texting a keyword, checking a box on a form, or signing up at an event), and message engagement data such as delivery status and response activity.
Donation information. If you make a gift or donation through our website or other channels, your payment information (such as credit card or bank account details) is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your financial account information on our systems. The use and storage of that information is governed by the payment processor’s own privacy policy and terms.DonorCentral portal information. If you are a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) holder or other account holder who logs in to our DonorCentral portal, the portal is hosted and operated by a third-party provider. Information you enter or access through DonorCentral (such as your login credentials, account activity, and grant recommendations) is subject to the portal provider’s own privacy policy and security practices in addition to this policy. We receive information from DonorCentral as needed to manage your fund and process your grant recommendations.
Fund agreement information. If you establish a Donor-Advised Fund or other charitable fund with the CCF, we collect personal information through your fund agreement, including your name, mailing address, phone numbers, email address, birthday (day and month only), and similar information for any successor donor advisors or outside professional advisors you designate. This information is used to manage your fund, process grant recommendations, communicate with you about your account, and fulfill the terms of your agreement.
Event and program information. When you register for an event or participate in a CCF program (such as the Women’s Giving Circle or the Annual Dinner), we may collect registration details, dietary preferences, seating requests, or other information relevant to the event. Please note: #iGiveCatholic is a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. While our website includes information about #iGiveCatholic, any donations made through igivecatholic.org (including its local affiliate pages, such as neworleans.igivecatholic.org) are processed on #iGiveCatholic’s own platform and are governed by its own privacy policy, not this one.
Survey and form responses. You may provide additional personal information when you complete a survey, fill out a web form, submit feedback, or correspond with us.3b. Information Collected Automatically
Website usage data. When you visit ccfnola.org, our web server and analytics tools may automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring website, pages visited, time spent on pages, and the date and time of your visit. This information is generally collected in aggregate and is used to help us understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it.
Cookies and similar technologies. Our website may use cookies (small text files stored on your device) and similar tracking technologies. We use cookies to help our website function properly, to analyze website traffic, and to understand visitor behavior. See Section 8 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies) for more details, including how to manage your cookie preferences.4. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:- To communicate with you about CCF programs, events, giving opportunities, and other information relevant to the Catholic community in the Archdiocese of New Orleans
- To send you emails, newsletters, and other electronic communications you have signed up to receive
- To send you text messages (SMS/MMS) about event reminders, registration deadlines, surveys, and other timely notices, if you have opted in to receive them
- To process and acknowledge donations and gifts
- To manage your Donor Advised Fund or other account through the DonorCentral portal
- To register you for events and programs
- To respond to your questions, comments, or requests
- To improve our website, communications, and services
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights
We will not use your personal information for purposes materially different from those described above without notifying you and, where required, obtaining your consent.
5. How We Share Your InformationWe do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service providers. We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate, including Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC) for email and SMS communications; the DonorCentral platform for donor fund management; Bloomerang Payments (built on Stripe) for donation and contribution processing; eCatholic for website hosting; and other providers as needed. These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and are contractually required to protect it and CCF.
Recipient organizations. When distributions are made from a fund held at the CCF, the fund name and donor name and address are generally disclosed to the recipient organization, unless the donor has chosen to remain anonymous. This practice is described in the Donor-Advised Fund Agreement signed at the time the fund is established.
Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
With your consent. We may share your information in other circumstances if you give us your explicit permission to do so.6. Email, SMS, and Your Marketing Choices
6a. Email Communications
If you sign up to receive emails from us, you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included at the bottom of any email we send. You may also contact us at [email protected] to request removal from our email list. Even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still send you transactional or administrative messages (such as donation receipts or event confirmations).6b. Text Messages (SMS/MMS)
We send text messages only to people who have explicitly opted in to receive them. You may have opted in by texting a keyword (such as JOIN) to our designated number, by checking a consent box on a web form, or by providing your phone number and consent at an event.
To stop receiving text messages at any time, reply STOP to any message we send you. You may also text HELP for assistance. After you opt out, we will send a one-time confirmation message and no further texts.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any donation, purchase, or participation in CCF programs.
We do not share your phone number or SMS opt-in consent information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.6c. Do Not Sell
We do not sell your personal information. You may contact us at [email protected] with any questions.7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and to support our ongoing relationship with you.
For SMS marketing records specifically, we retain consent records, opt-out records, and message logs for at least six years, as required by carrier and aggregator audit standards.
Donation records are retained in accordance with IRS requirements for tax-exempt organizations.
If you request that we delete your personal information, we will do so within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate record-keeping purposes. Contact us at [email protected] to make a request.8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics). We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to help us understand how visitors use our website. This data is collected in aggregate and does not personally identify you. Google processes this information in accordance with its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not currently use social media tracking pixels (such as the Meta/Facebook Pixel or LinkedIn Insight Tag) or other third-party advertising cookies on our website. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy.8c. Embedded Content
Our website may include embedded content from third-party services, such as YouTube videos. When you view a page containing embedded content, the third-party provider may set its own cookies on your device and collect data about your interaction with that content. This behavior is governed by the third party’s own privacy policy. For example, YouTube’s embedded video player is subject to Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not control the cookies or tracking technologies used by these third-party services.8d. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

9. Data SecurityWe take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. These measures include secure data storage, restricted access to personal information, and use of encryption where appropriate (for example, our website uses HTTPS).
Payment forms on our website use Stripe's secure, PCI-compliant payment processing technology. Sensitive payment data (such as credit card numbers and bank account numbers) entered on our website is transmitted directly to Stripe and is never stored on the CCF's servers or systems.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
10. Data Breach NotificationIn the event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate federal and/or state authorities, as may be applicable, pursuant to applicable federal and/or state law. Notification will include information as required by applicable law, which may include but not be limited to a description of the breach, the types of information involved, and steps you can take to protect yourself.
11. Children’s PrivacyOur website and communications are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information promptly. Third-Party Websites and ServicesOur website and communications may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, FreeWill.com, igivecatholic.org and its local partner pages (such as neworleans.igivecatholic.org), DonorCentral, YouTube, social media platforms, or payment processors). This privacy policy does not apply to those third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites.
13. Changes to This PolicyWe may update this digital privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes that significantly affect how we handle your personal information, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on our website.
